A little bit of fresh snow here and there from the quick moving storm on Thursday night. New snow here is as of Friday morning. Storm totals are from Wednesday night through Friday morning. The “This Week” totals also include snow from President’s weekend last weekend. Temps are cooling back down this weekend, so the snow should be mostly groomed packed powder.

Here are some highlights for this weekend: Sandia Peak open Friday through Sunday… Santa Fe has Brewski on Saturday... Taos has Shred the Love with a bumps challenge and art auction on Saturday... Pajarito has weekday ticket deals and Telebration on Saturday and Sunday... Shred The Love is this Saturday. In this event, Taos Ski Valley has once again joined forces with K2 to host a collaborative celebration of two unique fundraising events, the Sixth Annual K2 Bumps Challenge and the Eighth Annual K2 Paint for Peaks: A Snowboard Art Auction to raise money for two breast cancer organizations. The Kachina Peak Lift is open as conditions and weather allow. All the chutes are open now on a rotating basis.

Open Wednesday through Sunday. The Townsite Lift and the terrain under it is open on Saturdays and Sundays. Save money on weekdays... Car Load Wednesdays (where up to five guests in one car ski for just $99 total!) and Local Appreciation Thursdays when lift tickets are $39 for adults and teens. This weekend it’s Telebration on Saturday and Sunday withclinics, gear demos and the best telemark instructional crew in the region, the Telenators. Coming up: Parents Ski Free Week, February 27-March 4. Deals: There are several ways to save money: There are two for one Tuesdays, Carload Wednesdays (where up to 5 ski or ride for $50 total) and Local Appreciation Thursdays (where adult and teen tickets are $25, kids tickets are $15) nearly every week through early March. Also, kids 6 and younger, 4th graders, 5th graders (report card required) and guests ages 40, 60 or 70 years and better ski FREE everyday. In addition, active military members ski FREE, just bring your active military I.D. to the ticket window and receive a FREE lift ticket.

You'll want to be here for all of the excitement of the Krewe Krawl, the Burning of the Wild Loup-garou, the Annual Drink Making Contest, Torchlight Parade & Fireworks.
