Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has some unfortunate news about his health. The rocker has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
“It’s clearly something to be respected and faced head on – but I’ve faced obstacles before,” Mustaine says in a statement. “I’m working closely with my doctors and we’ve mapped out a treatment plan which they feel has a 90% success rate, treatment has already begun.”
While the band still has a new album on the way, unfortunately, this means the band will be canceling most of their tour dates this year, except for the 2019 Megacruise. Mustaine says Megadeth will “be a part of [Megacruise] in some form” – we’ll keep you posted on that.
