Conan O'Brien is Ending his Late-Night Talk Show

It’s the end of an era for Conan O’Brien. After 28 years, Conan has announced that he’s ending his self-titled late-night talk show.

Conan has been on TBS for eleven years out of the 28, and he’s not completely ditching the network. As Conan moves on to HBO Max to start a new weekly variety series, his “Conan Without Borders” travel specials will continue to air on TBS. So far, all we know about his new HBO Max show is that it'll premiere in June 2021.

“In 1993Johnny Carson gave me the best advice of my career: ‘As soon as possible, get to a streaming platform,'” Conan says in a statement. “I’m thrilled that I get to continue doing whatever the hell it is I do on HBO Max, and I look forward to a free subscription.”

  • By the way... Fans expecting Conan to talk about the announcement on his show last night were left hanging... he didn't.
