TOOL: Maynard's Second Round of COVID-19

Maynard James Keenan revealed that he contracted COVID-19 a second time in November and was briefly in the hospital in December.

The Tool frontman spoke with Canadian radio host George Stroumboulopoulos and said, "I don't know if I said anything online, but I had it twice. Ugly, ugly. Couldn't breathe, couldn't put two words together without going into a coughing fit." Maynard, who previously contracted the virus last February after a trip to New Zealand, says he caught it again later in the year and had to go to the emergency room. He says he almost ended up on a ventilator but there wasn't one available at the hospital.

Although he's no longer sick, Maynard says he's still dealing with the effects of the virus and has frequent coughing fits. (Billboard)
