Jane's Addiction Concert Ends In Violence - On Stage

Hard rockin’ turned into hard punchin’ over the weekend in Boston. During a show by Jane’s Addiction, lead singer Perry Farrell got into an altercation with lead guitarist Dave Navarro at Leader Bank Pavilion. Farrell had said earlier in the show that he was having trouble singing, and while performing “Ocean Size,” Farrell told the crowd “f**k you,” screamed into the microphone, then walked over to Navarro and threw a shoulder into the guitarist during a solo.

Several punches were thrown as multiple members of the crew and band ran up to restrain the singer. The lights lowered, Farrell was taken offstage, and the rest of the band apologized to the crowd and ended the show early. No details on what caused the behavior.

Update: The band made an announcement on an Instagram Story post yesterday offering a “heartfelt apology” to fans and announcing that they were canceling last night’s concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The announcement said that refunds will be issued to fans.
