McDonald’s Adds 4 New Menu Items Inspired By Fan Hacks

Starting January 31st, McDonald’s is adding four new menu items that were inspired by fan-favorite “menu hacks” – and they’re even crediting the folks who gave them the bright ideas. They are:

  • The Hash Brown McMuffin – credited to Sarah Sandlin (@sarahmargaretsandlin), A Hash Brown goes inside of the Sausage McMuffin and she says it gives “that extra little crispy bite.” It’s only available during breakfast hours.
  • The Crunchy Double – It’s Greg Simms (@grubwithgreg) invention. He says “It’s simple, yet so tasty…Chicken McNuggets topped with a Double Cheeseburger, then drizzled with Tangy Barbeque Sauce.”
  • The Land, Air & Sea – This hack comes from Julian Broadway (@julianbroadway). It’s “A McChicken, stacked on a Big Mac, stacked on a Filet-O-Fish. Julian says “Go big baby” and it’s served with a Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken sandwich at select restaurants.
  • The Surf + Turf – PJ Mattingly (@heavyhands94) says “Sometimes I’m craving the flaky crunch of a Filet-O-Fish, sometimes I want the juiciness of a Double Cheeseburger, and sometimes I want both. So why choose?” So it’s actually two sandwiches!

McDonald’s is rolling out the hack menu with an ad campaign starting January 31st and the new menu items will be available via carry-out, on the McDonald’s app, at the Drive Thru or through McDelivery. One note? If you want the Surf + Turf, its only available exclusively via McDeliver or on the McDonald’s app.
