New Study Proves Just How Much New Mexico Loves Halloween

It's that time of year again when we fill our homes with spooky ghosts, pumpkins, skeletons, and witches. Whether you like to keep your Halloween decor classy or you like to go all out scary, the most important part is that you put it out for all to see.

Some states really get into the Halloween spirit much more than others, however.

Lombardo Homes ranked each state based on Halloween home decorations and New Mexico landed in the top 10. The state ranked number five overall.

To create the list, the website analyzed more than 1,000 Halloween decoration search terms in Google to see where in American people decorate the most. In addition, Lombardo Homes surveyed nearly 1,000 homeowners to understand national trends in Halloween home decoration.

The study also states that the most popular halloween decoration in all of the US is skeletons, followed by pumpkins, spiders, witches, and bats.

According to the list, here are the top 20 states that decorate for Halloween the most:
