The snow is in great shape everywhere. Everyone has most of the terrain open now. And maybe a little more new snow coming in Monday night. Storm totals listed here are from the Wednesday night through Friday morning storm last week.

Some highlights: Sandia Peak open Monday for MLK day and then reopens Friday through Sunday… Santa Fe has the Fireball Rando Individual Race on Saturday… Taos has Not Forgotten week starting Tuesday… Pajarito has most of the mountain but the Aspen and Townsite lifts are offline… Angel Fire is offering free tickets to furloughed Federal employees… Red River has January Bargain Days… Sipapu has new online reduced-priced tickets… Purgatory has the Pitchfork Park open now and coming up this weekend is the Ladies Turn Weekend.

This Saturday, it’s the Ski Santa Fe Fireball Rando Individual Race. This is a backcountry hiking/climbing ski event where racers challenge each other to hike and ski the most challenging terrain at Ski Santa Fe. The course will offer single track kick turns, groomer skinning and downhill, challenging downhill tree skiing, and a stunning technical bootpack up Big Rocks. Sign up is on Friday or early Saturday morning. The race starts at 7:45a Saturday.

Parts of the backside may be closed due to the avalanche investigation. Parts of Highline Ridge also closed. All the rest of the mountain is open.

The 6th Annual Not Forgotten Outreach Week for men and women of the Armed Services is January 22 - 27. Active duty military, Gold Star families, veterans and any family member with a military ID can ski or board for $40/day.
