Some Grocery Story Hacks That May Be Rude

Most of us deal with rude people, or at least what we may think is rude. There are some really rude behaviors at the grocery store that drive some people crazy. Like not returning your cart, or sampling food, cutting lines or blocking aisles....the list goes on and on. But there is also the not so obviouse things you could be doing that you conisder "Helpful" but that are actually rude.

According to “Eating Well” here are the biggest three.

  • Adding your cart to the train – That is… the train that’s already being taken back to the store. If you see an employee already pushing a long line of carts, don’t assume you’re doing them a favor by adding another one on. If anything, you’re throwing off their balance.
  • Putting things back where they belong – If you see a gallon of milk or a package of meat on a shelf where it doesn’t belong, your instinct might be to return it to where it’s supposed to go in the refrigerated section. That’s not the best idea though considering you don’t know how long it’s been sitting out. You could be setting someone up to take home spoiled milk.
  • Trying to clean up – Spills happen all of the time and while you mean well trying to clean it up, you don’t have the necessary supplies to get the job done. It’s more efficient just to let a store employee there know.
