Fresh off the KISS Kruise, Gene Simmons and his solo band played a show Sunday night in Providence, Rhode Island at the Vets Auditorium where Gene took matters into his own hands -- literally.
East Providence City Councilman Brian Faria took the stage to present the key to the city to Simmons. Not long into his speech, he was heckled, and that's when Simmons asked for the house lights to be turned up. He then spotted the heckler, and walked off stage and up to the balcony to confront the guy. He returned to the stage a few minutes later to say he hoped the heckler was "high" before allowing Councilman Faria to finish his speech and present the key.
Thanks to Kevin Mulhern at WHJY in Providence.
