A couple of major film releases are in our near future, and the critics are already spilling the beans on what audiences can expect on Rotten Tomatoes.
- A Quiet Place II (May 28th) – Over 40 reviews are already posted, rating it 89% fresh. Generally, the consensus is that it isn’t what the first one was, and how could it be, but it’s “immediately immersive, bigger, and “terrifying.” However, some of the writing comes off as “laughably contrived” and that it feels, at times, like simply the set-up for the next one.

- F9 (June 25th) – Already, a handful of critics have chimed in on this one, giving it a 60% fresh rating. On the pro-side, you’ve got them saying it’s “exhilaratingly ridiculous” and “ridiculously exhilarating,” “gloriously ludicrous” and does “shameless fan service.” On the downside, you’ve got critics who are saying pretty much the same thing you’ve already seen, just with more of a sneer and a tone of contempt.
