Rush have teamed up with Toronto brewery Henderson for their own beer.
Rush Canadian Golden Ale launches across Canada on August 30th.Alex Lifeson (the band's "Beer Scientist") says in a statement, “Rush Canadian Golden Ale is golden in color with a dense ivory head. It has an earthy aroma with hints of orange-peel, pine and spicy rye. While the emphasis is on refreshment, there are elements of pine, rye spice and a citric hop flavor that add to the subtle complexity of the beer."
The idea for the brew started in 2015 after a show when someone handed Geddy Lee a bottle of Iron Maiden's Trooper beer and he jokingly asked where the Rush beer was.
Lifeson and Lee also made a funny video to promote the beer, which is on YouTube now.
