Hung over man passed out on the floor next day to a party, foot visible. Trash, food leftovers, clothes, high heels and bottles everywhere in messy house.

It’s one of life’s cruel jokes…drinking is fun…hangovers suck. Getting rid of the hangover is a process of trial-and-error. After extensive research here are the best remedies…labelled from easy, hard, and just awkward:

  • Easy –Hangover supplements before bed can help but may not be the be-all-end-all you’re hoping for. Pounding 40-ounces of water before bed can do wonders. If you’re feeling adventurous, coaxing yourself into a good puke session might help, too…though admittedly unpleasant. From there, solid sleep is mandatory.
  • Hard –Everyone has a sure-fire hangover prevention food. Some go greasy, some go with toast and a banana. Those latter two are realistically the better options. Some also chase the beast with more of what got them there, thinking that drinking a little more might help ween the pain away. Finally, hitting the gym and sweating it out works for some, just bring plenty of water if that’s your weapon of choice.
  • Awkward –Pedialyte isn’t just for kids anymore, and if you can get over the discomfort of buying it when you don’t have children it can be a godsend. The same goes for having a bottle of Midol handy.

As of now, there’s no tried-and-true scientific cure for a hangover, but these options will give you the most bang for your buck.
