If sleeping with pets is an argument in your house, listen up. Turns out, it isn’t just good for humans, but the furbabes in the equation also enjoy benefits from their humans.
Dr.Dana Varble, the chief veterinary officer for the North American Veterinary Community, says it's generally a very good thing for the animals as pets who share beds with their humans tend have a higher trust level and tighter bond with them. "Dogs and cats who are more closely bonded with their humans get additional health benefits,” she explains. “Including increases in beneficial neurotransmitters such as oxytocin and dopamine, the feel-good hormones."
