EDDIE VEDDER: Plays Petty for Oscar In Memoriam

Eddie Vedder was the surprise voice of this year's Oscars In Memoriam tribute and he honored one of his own by performing a Tom Petty song.

The Pearl Jam frontman sang "Room at the Top," the lead-off track on Petty and the Heartbreakers' 1999 album, Echo. He played the song on a Rickenbacker guitar accompanied by strings and longtime Pearl Jam producer Brendan O'Brien on keyboard and backing vocals. You can find video of the nearly four-minute segment on YouTube.
