Another great couple of storms. New snow here is as of Saturday morning with Storm totals since Wednesday night. Here are some highlights: Santa Fe has opened a couple more trails thanks to the storms… Taos has opened Lift 1 with several runs under it… Sipapu back open through Sunday with 2 more runs and another lift… Red River has the beginner area and now the Platinum Lift with Broadway open from midway… Purgatory has opened the backside and 2 ore chairs... Wolf Creek has opened more terrain thanks last weekend’s snow… Arizona Snowbowl has opened a couple more runs.

Notes: Open with the Super Chief Quad and Sierra Double chairlifts running to Upper Midland, Midland, and Lower Midland. Beginner skiing is via the Easy Street Double Chair and Pine Flats Conveyor. Additional terrain will open as conditions allow. All facilities are open. Lift tickets, lesson packages, and rentals are now available for purchase online. Grab a Peak Plus Pass or One Pass and ride all winter long at a discounted daily rate. New this year is the Santa Fe Express Ticket. This allows guests to link their preferred payment directly to a reloadable ticket and bypass the ticket office all season.

Notes: Will reopen Friday through Sunday with Lift 1 with Sasfras and Butterfly now open, Lift 5 open and Thumper and Bambi available as well as a small terrain park. Daily operations start Dec. 8.

New this season: Sipapu will have a new double black diamond trail called Dysfunction opening once enough snow falls, likely sometime in January. Dysfunction is the outermost run on the left side, next to Indecision. Sipapu this summer also renovated its hotel rooms and casitas, with a variety of amenities and improvements.

The Grand Canyon Express Chairlift has access to intermediate trails only including Midway Catwalk, Log Jam, Round Up, and Wild Turkey and the Little Spruce Conveyor will allow access to a limited amount of beginner terrain.
