Billy Corgan is setting out on a North American tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness; however, he's not hitting the road with the Smashing Pumpkins. Instead, it'll be a solo project called Billy Corgan and the Machine of Gods that features Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Kiki Wong, drummer Jake Hayden, and bassist Kid Tigrrr (Jenna Fournier).
In addition to playing songs off Mellon Collie, the band will also be drawing setlist selections from Machina/The Machines of God, and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music, which both turn 25 this year. The tour is set to kick off June 7 in Baltimore and run until June 29 in Minneapolis. In November, Corgan plans to host a seven-night residency at the Lyric Opera of Chicago for "A Night of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness." See the tour announcement and a full list of dates below.
