These Are The Signs You Can Start Celebrating The Holidays Now

You've taken your "dad tax" and took some time to sneak Reese's Cups from your kids tick-or-treating sacks, you can now see a Santa in just about ever store you walk in, bringing up the question is it too soon to movie into holiday mode? The unoffifcial start of the holiday season used to be righ after Thanksgiving, so each holiday got it's own time. But after trick-or-treating the other night you can tell there are people with no problem moving right from Halloween to Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.

If you're one of those in the mood for the holdays may be tempted to start celebrating the holidays right now. These are 5 reasons to ignore the haters, break out the decoratons and start spreading holiday cheer.

Starbucks released their holiday cups - Like we told you yesterday, those signature holiday cups have arrived to officially usher in the season. This year, the coffee chain is celebrating 25 years of their festive cups with four designs, one that looks like a gift and others that feature evergreens, retro starbursts and ornaments. Their holiday menu favorites, like the Peppermint Mocha and the Iced Sugar Cookie latte are being served up now, too.

Mariah Carey says so - You’ve probably seen the memes of Mariah “defrosting” or being taken out of a holiday storage bag to signal the start of the holiday season, but it seems she’s also in on the joke. This week the singer posted a video on social media showing her dressed up as a witch for Halloween, then November 1st arrives and her classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” starts playing as she announces “IT’S TIME!” with the hashtag #MariahSZN.

Holiday tunes are already streaming - You can find satellite radio stations already playing holiday favorites, so you can sing along with your favorites now through the end of December.

  • The Rockettes “kick” it off - Radio City Music Hall’s “Christmas Spectacular,” featuring the Rockettes, has been “kicking” the holiday season into full swing since 1933. While the show doesn’t actually debut until November 18th, plenty of other holiday events are already going in New York City, like the Bryant Park Winter Village.
