Looking to make some new friends as an adult has it's issues. Sometimes you like things the way they have been, but now you think it's time to branch out and group up. We introduce you to the "Friendship Market."
Friendship markets exist when most people in a setting want to form new relationships, like college freshmen or middle schoolers entering high school. However, adults often find themselves in weaker markets where people are friendly but not seeking deeper connections. So is this how you make friends now?
New friendship chances start by joining activities related to life changes, or same stuff other people are going throug, including pregnant women meeting in prenatal classes or people exploring new hobbies that show personal growth.
So if you're looking for a friend and want to try a friendship market in 2026 rather than waiting for connections to happen naturally, be my guest. I'll be with the people laughing on the other side of the room lol
