When it comes to candy-filled holidays, kids definitely get to have all the fun. They get to dress up and trick-or-treat for Halloween and then six months later, the Easter Bunny delivers baskets loaded with sweets to them. Sure, grown-ups can snag some of their kiddo’s candy haul, but a new report from Ferrero finds a lot of them want Easter treats to call their own.
The candy company has just released their 2025 Easter Celebration Index, revealing how Americans plan to celebrate the upcoming holiday.
- It finds that three in five grown-ups would love to get their own adult Easter basket.
- Nearly a quarter (22%) of adults want Easter chocolate for themselves.
- Two-thirds (67%) prefer to make their own Easter baskets.
- As for what they’d want to put in them, 36% prefer gift cards and 23% want candy, but 69% say their Easter basket has to include some chocolate.
- Almost two-thirds (64%) would rather get chocolate than non-chocolate candy for the holiday.
- When it comes to decorating for Easter, 44% of those ages 18 to 24 turn to social media for decoration ideas, while only 8% of people over 65 do.
- Older folks prefer to plan ahead and get their holiday shopping done early, with just 18% of those ages 65 and up waiting to shop at the last-minute.
- But more than half (52%) of respondents ages 25 to 44 are in no hurry and shop at the last-minute.
- And if they’re lucky enough to get a chocolate bunny in their Easter basket, 69% of those polled agree that you should start with the ears, not eat the feet first.
