Isaac is a smart kid with an amazing imagination. Isaac enjoys playing with Legos, riding his bike and playing outdoors. He makes friends easily and has a wonderful smile. Isaac is kind, helpful, respectful and smart. He will need help in the classroom setting in regards to staying on task. He currently has an IEP and his preferred subjects in school are science and history. One of his favorite sports is boxing and his goal is to be able to someday join a boxing club. Isaac would do well with a family which enjoys outdoor activities and possibly has children his own age in the home.
Isaac has experienced a significant amount of grief, loss and trauma. He will need to continue weekly therapy to help him understand and express his emotions in a positive way and how to regulate himself when feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Isaac has expressed wanting to continue contact with his siblings and grandmother after he is adopted. An ideal adoptive family for Isaac would include a strong, two-parent family which can provide structure, supervision and consistency. The family must be willing to participate in ongoing services and family therapy with Isaac to continue to address his needs.
