Some residents of Lake Worth, Florida believed there was a zombie apocalypse earlier this week and it wasn't because they were on bath salts.
It's because they received an official alert from the city which warned of a "power outage and zombie alert for residents of Lake Worth and Terminus," a fictional city referenced in The Walking Dead. It continued, "There are now far less than 7,380 customers involved due to extreme zombie activity."
The power outage was actually legit, but the presence of undead was not and was likely the result of a prank. City officials have apologized for the confusion and believe the prank was perpetrated by hackers. (Palm Beach Post)
