Back in the days of VHS entertainment, the glorified snuff film “Faces of Death” was a massive underground success. The “grizzly cult hits” featured scenes showing various unfortunate people meeting their demise in a variety of uncomfortable ways. Of course, we later found out that most of the scenes were “staged.” But before and after that reveal – fans were as grossed out as parents were outraged, and – in some countries – the videos were banned. Either way, Legendary Entertainment has picked up the rights to the title, with the plan to “launch a new horror franchise.”
