Megadeth fired bassist David Ellefson after he was accused of sexual misconduct – including claims he groomed an underaged fan. Now, Ellefson has admitted to online sexual encounters with a young woman… and filed charges of his own.
Ellefson has filed revenge porn charges against a person he said “illegally” uploaded a “very private video” that sparked the grooming allegations. Those charges are being investigated – meanwhile, a police report obtained by “Rolling Stone” reveals that Ellefson admitted to “four to five” sexual Facebook Messenger encounters in February 2021 with a Dutch 19-year-old girl, who took and shared video of one of their encounters – which later surfaced online – without his consent.
Ellefson is taking legal action against whoever leaked the screenshot and video, not the teenager in question. Ellefson also says that the woman was a “willing consenting adult” during their sexual encounters, and that she felt “remorseful” about the leak.
