Honus Wagner Card Sets New Record Topping $6.6M
There’s a new top dog in the world of collectible sports trading cards. Over the weekend, a T06 Honus Wagner, one of the most iconic of all cards, was sold by Robert Edwards Auctions at a price of more than $6.6-million. The past year has been a monster for the collectible trading card market, but this price sets a new high mark for any card ever sold. Previously, the record was shared by a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card and a 2003-04 LeBron James Rookie Patch Autograph card, both of which went for $5.2-million.
