Alec Baldwin broke his silence about the tragic shooting on the set of his movie, Rust. on Saturday, fielding questions from a group of paparazzi who'd tracked him down in Vermont, where he was staying with his family.
A tense-looking Baldwin talked about Halyna Hutchins, saying, "She was my friend, she was my friend. The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel[Souza], the director. We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together, and then this horrible event happened."
Alec added that he's been in "constant contact" with Hutchins' widower. Matthew, saying, "We're very worried about his family and his kid," an account that Matthew confirmed to Britain's Daily Mail. When pressed about the future of the film itself, Baldwin showed some doubts about whether or not production would continue.
