It’s been a long pandemic for Maynard James Keenan, with the Tool frontman saying he’s had COVID four times over the last two years. In an interview, he said “I just had it the fourth time. I got the European-flavored one. That was fun.” Luckily, he says it wasn’t too bad, saying “It was a flu. It’s done.”
He also said that the virus was just part of the business when you’re in a touring band. “I mean, when you’re in a room full of thousands of people, it’s being passed around. You get into a tube and you fly 10 hours in a contained environment, you’re gonna get it. We need to embrace that and stop freaking the **** out.”
