In just a few weeks, NASA is going to crash the $330M Dart robot spacecraft into the asteroid Dimorphos to see if they can deflect its orbit.
Scientists say their observations of the impact will give them data on how well spacecraft can protect the Earth from an asteroid Armageddon.
The half-ton probe is set to hit the asteroid at more than four miles per second, or over 14k mph, on September 26th.
