Rob Halford says the only thing standing in the way of a new album from Judas Priest is Rob Halford. “It’s done except for me,” he told UCR with a laugh. “I can bang it out in a couple of weeks, but I need to be in the right place. And we have to find the right time.” He added, “He said, making excuse after excuse after excuse.”
The upcoming record will be the first album since 2018’s “Firepower.” Judas Priest will also be honored at this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the Musical Excellence Award, and Halford says they’ve talked with former guitarist K.K. Downing and former drummer Les Binks about making an appearance at the ceremony.
