When it comes to creepy movies, 2022 was a nice year overall. With all the horror offerings, IGN had the mighty task of narrowing it down to just five nominees for the best of the year. Those nominees were “Barbarian,” “Nope,” “Scream,” “The Black Phone,” and “X.” After much debating and a bit of bloodshed, the final “best of the year” honor went to Jordan Peele and “Nope.” Not only was it a nice monster movie, but it was layered with “symbolism and nuanced commentary on society.”
