Metallica is kicking off 2023 with a revival of their “Wherever We May Roam” archival livestreams, giving fans a chance to see some classic live performances. The band is releasing recordings of 10 concerts from 1991 through 1993, with a new recording releasing every Sunday and Monday.
The event is thanks to “help from the archivists at The Metallica Black Box” and nugs.net and started last night with footage from the band’s September 11, 1991 show in Graz, Austria. Today’s release of the December 1st, 1991 concert in Cleveland, but Metallica has a word of caution for fans, saying that the “standard definition footage comes from Betacam tapes.”
The shows are being streamed live and are available on demand for subscribers. Here’s the schedule of releases:
