Type O Negative dropped an AI-version of “Halloween In Heaven” in celebration of World Goth Day yesterday, which makes us wonder if they were being ironic.
The song was written by Peter Steele but everything else about the video was created using AI software that made the images then turned them into a rock video.
And the freakiest part? The video includes appearances from dead rockers Dimebag Darrell and John Bonham. While drummer Johnny Kelly might find it humorous, saying “An artificial intelligence video for an artificially intelligent band,” creator Corinne Larre has stayed respectful of musicians. “I think it’s necessary to remain humble when using artificial intelligence as the topic has quite rightly caused some ethical debate in the creative world,” said Larre.
