MEGADETH: Mustaine Gets Angry at Security

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine doesn't like to see his fans mistreated by venue security -- and he's not afraid to bring a concert to a halt to prove it.

Mustaine did just that during a show Wednesday at the Grossinger Motor Arena in Bloomington, Illinois. The band was playing "Symphony of Destruction" when Mustaine spotted a clash between a fan and four security guards. He stopped the song, told the guards on mic "stop hitting that guy" and then walked over to where the incident was happening.

Mustaine returned to the mic and said, "I'm not gonna play anymore until those guys are escorted out of the building, so just hang on a second." He then told the guards (using many F-bombs we won't say here),"That was so unnecessary. That was so unnecessary, you guys...What's on the back of your shirt? Safety? It should say, 'No [Bleeping] Safety', because you guys are punks, and you shouldn't have hit that guy."

Mustaine refused to continue the set until the security guards had left, adding, "Get 'em out of here or I'm leaving. I don't wanna hear that they're in the back. I want them out of here." Then the band started up a different song, "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due," to end the show.
