Cardiologists at Tampa General Hospital have recently come across something they’d never seen before…and it’s nasty. The case is detailed in a recently published paper. In it, the story is told of a Florida man whose “carnivore diet” pushed his cholesterol so sky-high that it “literally started seeping out of his body.” The diet consisting of “meat, cheese, and lots of butter” saw the unnamed man develop “painless, but very noticeable, ‘yellowish nodules’ emerging from his hands and elbows.” Doctors tested his cholesterol and found it to be over 1,000 milligrams per deciliter…which is massively above the 200-mark it’s supposed to be below. Because of that, cholesterol deposits started to develop under his skin and eventually started seeping out. Enjoy your breakfast…would you like butter on that toast?
