As if the Winter Olympics weren't exciting enough, a dog joined in the fun at the cross-country skiing finish line in Italy.
The dog — a Czechoslovakian wolfdog named Nazgul — wandered onto the ski trail during the women’s team cross country free sprint qualification event.
The crowd cheered as the dog joined skiers on the course to make its way to the end of the race just behind Croatia's Tena Hadzic — with announcers calling the moment.
"Racing to the line there. The crowd clearly enjoying this," one commentator said. "The biggest cheer of the day is not for any of the skiers so far," another called. "Local wildlife, domesticated. What a finish!"
Unfortunately, the dog did not appear to qualify for the medal final and did not continue in the race.
