Tom Brady took a sudden break from Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training camp earlier this month to deal with “a personal matter”. And the fan theories were flying - including one speculation that Tom was taking time off to appear on Season eight of “The Masked Singer”.
And it’s not just your average fan throwing conspiracy theories; football notables like analyst Kendall Valenzuela and LA Rams COO Kevin Demoff have brought it up on social media and even live television. Valenzuela has posited that Brady had signed a $375M deal with Fox, and his former teammates Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski have already donned a costume and grabbed a mic on the popular show - so, maybe Tom was following in their footsteps? Even the official Instagram page for the show has chimed in, posting a picture of a Super Bowl trophy and a Brady/Masked Singer clipping, saying “The news is GOATing out of hand!”
As for Tom himself, he said he was just taking some time off to spend with family at an exclusive resort in the Bahamas. We’ll know one way or the other Sept. 11 when the Bucs take on the Dallas Cowboys in the 2022 season opener - or September 21, when the new season of “The Masked Singer” debuts on Fox.
